Izic is a fifth generation North Carolinian, born in Davidson, North Carolina. Following high school, Izic attended North Greenville University, in Tigerville, SC for two years, where he competed in the NCAA in Cross Country, and Indoor & Outdoor Track and Field (competing in events from the 1500m to 10,000m). 

 

After two years, he transferred to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he graduated with honors and a bachelor’s in political science. Currently, he has plans to attend law school in the fall, with aspirations to practice in both North Carolina and South Carolina following graduation.
